On the 5th of December, ACJC held its annual Seniors' Night to celebrate the graduation of the class of 2013. Held at the Singapore Marriott Hotel, it was a grand affair that saw close to 500 J2s attending. The theme was Masquerade, and it was truly a night full of mystery and class. Donning their best suits and gowns -and not forgetting their masks!- the seniors made the most out of the professional photobooth in the reception area.
Each senior was given a limited edition golden keychain, specially designed and engraved with the school crest, truly a memento to remember their AC life by.
The event was jam-packed with fun and laughter. There were two Lucky Draw segments where seniors won attractive prizes which ranged from Calvin Klein's Euphoria perfume to a pair of USS tickets! There were also Masquerade-themed table games, one of which involved the seniors gathering different sets of items, and another where they to guess different parts of the school, based on the photographs that were on the screen!
But of course, the best part of the night was the Mr and Miss ACJC competition! The six nominees had to do a catwalk, play Don't Forget the Lyrics, and even dance during the forfeit round. Eventually, it was Lionel Wong and Annabel Tan who were crowned Mr and Miss ACJC!
There was also a Best Dressed Competition and a fantastic performance by the J2s dancers which wowed everyone in the audience. The night concluded with the J2 choir leading their cohort for the very last time in the College Anthem.
This was truly a night of lasts as Mrs Chan also gave her final speech as Principal of ACJC, which even brought some seniors to tears.
In all, it was an event that was as fun to attend as it was to organise. After four months of hard work, we're glad to see that the seniors enjoyed themselves.
