To celebrate the end of Promotional Examinations, the J1s gathered to enjoy 2 days of fun and games planned by the AC Games ad-hoc. To ensure that this fun catered to not just a specific group of J1s, there were 3 aspect of games- Athletic, Cognitive and Digital. While we recognize that there are students who are more athletic and sporty, there is another group of students who prefer indoor games. Hence, we set up LAN games such as Prop Hunt and Team Fortress 2, as well as card and board games (UNO, Contract Bridge, Jenga and taboo) to ensure that these students will not be excluded from the celebration of post-exams. Moreover, the “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” section served as evidence of class and school spirit, where the J1s huddles shoulder to shoulder, as they swayed and sang their lungs out.

Moreover, the nature of competitiveness served to catalyze the fostering of class spirit as classes fought hard to take over other classes on the Leader board. Where it was almost unpredictable to decide which class would be the champion of AC Games 2015, hourly score updates were put up the score boards, as classes waited with anticipation for the scores to be updated. After more than a day of intense competition, the J1s even had the opportunity to showcase their talents of singing, dancing, beat-boxing, and even Wushu skills by representing their classes. On top of that, we had a mass rally in the Badminton Hall, where the JC1s could cheer at the top of their lungs and even dance with their classmates.

The success of AC Games would definitely not have been possible without the help of students volunteers, First Aid, MRC and also the IT Department. Moreover, the Game Masters of AC Games 2015 were filled with excitement as they ensured the safety of the J1s. Hence, the AC Games ad-hoc, on behalf of the 40th Student’s Council, would like to sincerely thank all external parties for their assistance.
