On the 9th and 10th of October, ACJC held its annual AC Games as a getaway from the stressful promotional examination period that ended on the 8th of October. It was the perfect time to have fun as a class through interacting with other classes in the various games available, both physical and non-physical to stretch our muscles and crunch our brains. United as one, the classes were decked out in one of the ACJC collegiates, and all classes fought to their best of their abilities and cheered on their teammates.
The theme for this year’s AC Games was “A Class of Titans”, inspired from the movie “Clash of The Titans”. During this AC Games, every class was a unique group of Titans fighting the tough battle to be the best of the best. Fighting under the scorching sun for the War Games and under the freezing Air-Con for the Mind and Village Games, all classes had their wins and losses.
War Games were meant to be bathed in sweat and to tire our muscles out. Varieties of games like Soccer, Frisbee, Basketball, Captain’s Ball and Tug-of-War were the skirmishes that they fought. The scorching sun didn’t stop the Titans from fight their heart out clenching the winning title for their games, with their friends cheering from the sideline relentlessly.
On other hand, for those people who were not inclined to the various sporting games, they could also use their brains to their advantage in the Mind Games. Ranging from Team Fortress 2, Taboo and Don’t Forget The Lyrics, all of us could hear the loud screams and shouts of the players from the mentally intensive matches in the MPH.
Lastly, after those physically and mentally tiring games we have also provided relaxation games called the Village Games. It was time for the Titans to have a break from the matches and to enjoy themselves under the cooling Air-Con in the MPH playing Fifa 15 or Card Games.
After the two-days battle between the Titans, the Champions have emerged from the battlefield – and that was the class of 1AA1!
In all, AC Games was really a fun-filled event to bond as one ACJC. The councilors, though not having many opportunities to play, really enjoyed themselves whilst being game masters and watching the fruits of their labour come into fruition. After three months of hard work and preparation, it was really fulfilling to see our batch mates being able to enjoy and have fun after the gruesome Promotional Examination period.
AC Games. Be there.
